Welcome to the Laguna Beach
Office of Human Resources and
Public Communications

Thank you for visiting the Human Resources & Public Communications Homepage. LBUSD consists of a total of four schools; two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The District serves approximately 3,000 students, their families, and community members residing in the City of Laguna Beach. All four schools are California Distinguished Schools. Laguna Beach High School is also a National Blue Ribbon School. Our department is part of a progressive school district focused on educating the whole child.

Our District Mission:  Each student gains the knowledge, experience, world perspectives, and skills needed to become a lifelong learner and producer in a competitive and interconnected world. In support of this mission and the District Strategic Goals, the major role of the Human Resources & Public Communication Office is to recruit, hire, train, and retain high quality and high performing teachers and staff who are committed to preparing today’s students to succeed in tomorrow’s world.  This is truly a great place to live, learn, and work!
