Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year! We believe thatThurston is ready for another great school year with incredible opportunitiesfor our students to excel. Thurston students are provided rigorous academic challenges that focus on building a solid foundation in Social Studies, Science, Math and English Language Arts. Our amazing elective department provides enrichment experiences in such areas as Band, Art and Drama. Our supportive Physical Education staff rounds out our course offerings, providing an important balance in the lives of our students.
Thurston will provide our students with an exceptional education as well as ample opportunities to build strong character and become good citizens. Our Positive Behavior Support program, Solveyour problems, Make good decisions, Achieve, Respect, There and Ready – SMART, provides each and every student the unique approach to grow and develop both academically and socially.
