Auditions for the drama program will take place on September 7th, the first day of school, at 6pm in the Artists Theatre. The casting process begins for William Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT as well as the smaller musical comedy YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN, our two November shows. We will also cast three sections of the Theatre 2 class: Amanda Saunders' advanced scene study; Andy Hedden's one act play; and Tracey Bonner's fall musical theatre workshop.
Performing Arts at Laguna Beach High School involves over one third of our LBHS student body. Our four departments: Drama, Dance, Instrumental Music and Chorus work separately to train students in each discipline and collaboratively on various performances. The four disciplines come together in grand style in our annual Spring Musical where our students’ dramatic, dance and choral skills are on display and our own jazz band plays live every show. |
