SDL: STUDENT DIRECTED LEARNING
On Thursday mornings from 7:30 AM to 8:25 AM, the campus is available to students for Student Directed Learning (SDL). During this time, teachers are available in their classrooms to work with groups of students. Students use this voluntary opportunity to ask questions, do homework, make up missed exams, and check on their progress. Laguna Beach High students attend SDL as a way of assuring their academic success. Since SDL is not mandatory, no attendance is taken and students are free to attend several different classes to complete various tasks and responsibilities. SDL provides a valuable service to our students, and many of our students routinely attend.
