Class Descriptions

ESL: English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are designed to develop English language skills of adults who are either non-English speaking or have limited English Speaking skills.  Through participation in the ESL program, students will increase their ability to participate in the community, attend college, pursue a career, and help their families.  ELS classes provide multiple levels of ESL instruction from basic literacy to advanced.

Community Vocational Training Workshops: Provide participants with basic information, tools, and resources to help navigate essential vocational readiness practices including, but not limited to: technology skills, proper oral/written communication, teamwork collaboration, and a positive work ethic. Vocational workshops are designed to allow participants to gain the necessary training needed to confidently pursue their personal vocational goal.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integration:  Step into the dynamic world of artificial intelligence with this tuition-free training course designed for professionals looking to enhance or pivot their careers.  You'll build a solid foundation in AI concepts, gain hands-on experience with industry tools, and apply your learning to real-world challenges.  Whether you're transitioning into the AI field or expanding your current skill set, this course will prepare you to succeed in the fast-growing, tech-driven job market.

Cybersecurity: Prepare for a job in cybersecurity.  Learn digital security skills used to protect critical systems and sensitive information from digital attacks.  This course is designed to provide the student with the necessary knowledge and skills to become an entry-level cybersecurity technician within the networking and information communications industry.

Vet Technician: Veterinary Technicians are supervised by licensed veterinarians who perform medical tests to help diagnose animals' illnesses and injuries.  Depending on the work environment, a vet tech job description may include care, clinical, and laboratory tasks.  State-required hours of clinic or hospital experience will be needed to be eigible as a Registered Veterinary Technician.  Students are responsible for acquiring state-required hours.
