Summer School

High School

(9th - 12th grades)

Summer school instruction will be delivered via online/distance learning. Due to physical distancing and school closure restrictions currently in place, there will be no in-person classes offered.
 
Session 1: June 15 – June 26 (10 days)
Session 2: July 6 – July 17 (10 days)

Course Offerings:

  •  Students in grades 9-12 who need to repeat a course to earn credit toward earning a high school diploma or who want to remediate a course due to a “D” or “F” grade to meet minimum UC "a-g" requirements. Courses offered are for remediation or credit recovery only and are not offered for advanced credit.  Additionally, select incoming 9th-grade students have been invited to attend a math skill-building course to support success in Algebra I, called "Bridge to Algebra I."

    • Students may only take one course at a time each session for a total of two maximum courses. 

  • Please contact your school counselor for specific course recommendations for summer school.

Elementary/Middle 

(K - 8th Grades)

Summer school instruction will be delivered via online/distance learning. Due to physical distancing and school closure restrictions currently in place, there will be no in-person classes offered.

8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Course Offerings:

  • The Laguna Beach Unified School District is providing summer school interventions for students currently in grades K-8 who are referred by their teacher for additional skill practice over the summer to best prepare them for success next school year.

Only students who are referred from their teacher due to specific skill development needs are invited to summer school.

Additional Support: 

  • The District is working to make additional teacher staff available for parent/guardian consultation during the summer school session (July 13-August 7) to provide parents/guardians with educational enrichment support and skill practice guidance to best prepare students for next year.
