Parent Mentor Program

The Parent Mentor Program's primary goal is to prevent and resolve disputes at an early and informal level. Our purpose is to build trusting relationships that promote our ability to be partners with our parents in educating our students. Our selected Parent Mentors focus on building effective family/school partnerships; resolving miscommunications; provide emotional support at every age and every stage of a child's development and provide factual information at critical periods of time. The District parent Mentor program officially started in September of 2008 and continues to expand annually with additional services and supports. Parent Mentors can be easily accessed at any time by contacting the Special Education Department and indicating you would like to be connected.
