Transitional Kindergarten (TK)

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is for students turning 4 by September 1, with options for early and late starts. Classes are held at both Top of the World and El Morro elementary school sites, with extended day programs available. For additional details, contact Director of Early Learning Kimberly Johnson at kjohnson@lbusd.org. Extended Day Program

Laguna Beach USD offers an extended day fee-based program for students enrolled in transitional kindergarten (TK). The program provides:
A dedicated after-school classroom for TK students on their elementary campus with school-work supportOpportunities for indoor and outdoor playLunch on campusFlexible pick-up times up until 3:30 p.m.

Early Bird

The extended day program for early bird TK students runs Monday through Friday, from 11:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at a cost of $550 per academic month.

Late Owl AM

The late owl A.M. extension allows students to arrive early and runs Monday through Friday, from 7:40 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., at a cost of $300 per academic month.

Late Owl PM

The extended day program for Late Owl TK students is available for $250 per month. It runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:10 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and on Wednesdays (early dismissal) from 1:10 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
