LBUSD invites the community to a “Celebration of the Arts,” its annual showcase of student visual and performing arts talent at Laguna Beach High School on April 22 from 6 to 8 p.m.
On Saturday, March 29, the Laguna Beach High School Model United Nations program held its annual invitational conference at Laguna Beach High School, welcoming more than 600 students from across California. Since 2013, LBHS MUN has hosted its invitational conference, inviting schools statewide to compete and debate topics currently under consideration by the United Nations.

At its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, March 20, the LBUSD Board of Education adopted a resolution approving the Final Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) for the LBHS Pool Modernization Project. The adoption of this resolution completes the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review, which requires that public school districts assess environmental impacts before moving forward with major construction.
LBUSD is introducing AI Trust You, a Google Chrome extension designed to bring clarity and accountability to AI usage in classrooms. In addition to launching the tool within LBUSD, the district has made it available to school systems across the nation.
LBUSD Board of Education President Dee Perry announced today that she and Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Jeff Dixon, currently serving as acting superintendent, have reached an agreement on the proposed terms of a special services contract for the role of acting superintendent. The contract is scheduled to be submitted to the full Board for consideration at its April 17 regular meeting.
Laguna Beach Fire District, Laguna Beach Water District, Greater Laguna Coast Fire Safety Council and Laguna Beach High School have all united towards a common cause: working to keep Laguna Beach safe from wildfires with the launch of the 2025 fire safety campaign.
LBHS students Lili Bazargan and Zealan Munsey recently took the initiative after growing concerned about federal policy changes and their potential impact on students. Encouraged to seek answers, the two students arranged a meeting with their principal, Dr. Allemann, to gain a deeper understanding of the policies in place within their school and broader community regarding student safety and federal enforcement.
