The LEAD (Learn, Enrich, Advance, Discover) Summer Program catalog is now available.

Each year, LEAD offers students the opportunity to explore new interests, connect with friends, and learn through hands-on enrichment experiences designed and taught primarily by LBUSD staff. From creative arts and technology to fitness, wellness, and leadership, this year’s catalog is filled with engaging courses designed to make summer both fun and meaningful.

We encourage families to review the catalog together and begin planning their child’s summer schedule. Below you will also find important registration information to help you prepare for sign-ups.

Registration Information

LEAD is a popular program, and many families look forward to securing spots in preferred classes or enrolling alongside friends. To support a smooth and organized registration process, please review the schedule below and note your child’s assigned registration date. Registration is based on the student’s incoming grade level for Fall 2026.

• Incoming Grades 1–2: Registration opens April 7, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
• Incoming Grades 3–5: Registration opens April 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
• Incoming Grades 6–8: Registration opens April 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

New This Year: Customized Registration via Text Message

This year, LBUSD will introduce a streamlined registration process through personalized text messages.

• Families will receive an advance notification via SMS the week following Spring Break, alerting them that LEAD registration is approaching.
• On your child’s designated registration date (April 7–9), you will receive a second text message containing your unique registration link.

By selecting the link, families can:

• View available LEAD courses
• Access a pre-filled registration form for their student
• Quickly select classes and complete the registration process
