MEET THE SUPERINTENDENT

Community members are invited to meet Superintendent Don Austin at two informal meet-and-greet events as the 2026–27 school year approaches.
Since joining Laguna Beach Unified on July 1, Dr. Austin has been visiting schools and district programs, meeting with students, employees, and community partners, and learning more about the Laguna Beach community. Recent visits have included summer learning programs at Top of the World Elementary School and Thurston Middle School, as well as Laguna Beach Preschool.
Join Dr. Austin for light refreshments and conversation at one of two upcoming events:
- Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 2 p.m. – Laguna Beach High School Main Quad
- Thursday, Aug. 13 at 5:30 p.m.– Thurston Middle School, prior to the Board of Education meeting
