Secondary schools cannot reopen under California Department of Public Health guidelines until Orange County re-enters the red tier of COVID-19 restrictions. Currently, the county remains in the purple tier. The district is prepared and ready to reopen secondary schools as soon as legally possible. As a reminder, to get into red tier status, the Orange County adjusted daily case rate per 100,000 needs to be below 7, test positivity rate below 8 percent and a health equity quartile positivity rate below 8 percent.
