STRENGTH IN PARENTING SERIES

Beginning January 28, LBUSD is launching Strength in Parenting, a new monthly series of guided conversations for parents and guardians of students in grades 5–12.

Designed to reduce the sense of isolation many parents experience, this seminar-style series brings families together to learn, reflect, and build confidence together. Sessions focus on preventing alcohol and drug misuse through open dialogue, shared learning, and practical strategies families can apply at home.

Event Details

  • Date: Wednesday, January 28, 2026
  • Time: 5:30–7:00 p.m.
  • Location: Laguna Beach High School Library
  • Audience: Parents and guardians of students in grades 5–12

What to Expect

Each session blends expert-informed information with guided discussion (similar to a college-style seminar). Participants will leave each session with actionable tools and insights to support their children and family life.

Series Overview

  • Frequency: Monthly, January through May
  • Format: Guided discussion with practical takeaways

The January session will serve as an informational overview and introduction to the seminar format. Families will have the opportunity to participate in a guided discussion, learn more about the five-part series, and decide whether to commit to the full cohort.

Additional Information

  • Cohort capacity is limited to 30 participants to support meaningful conversation and connection.
  • Childcare will be provided for students in grades TK–5.
  • Please complete one childcare form per child to help with supervision and activity planning.
